Biography

Beatriz was born in Medellin, Colombia, where she received an extensive education in several disciplines of the arts, including art & design, ceramics. In Paris, France, she continued her art studies with printing and painting on textiles. Beatriz has been concentrating on painting with oils, and has had several exhibitions in Bogota, Colombia, USA and China. As a professional artist, she has completed 770 oil on canvas paintings over 30 years which are now in private collections in Europe and the Americas. In her words: "Timeless conversations being established between the conscious and the unconscious bring to reality these that are a reflection of our spirit, expressed through painting and color that flow from the soul".

Happily, we welcome Beatriz to the United States, and especially to Port Austin. Her hope is to continue her painting and get involved in the local art community. Look for her at local art shows throughout the area, as well as at the Farmer's Market in Port Austin in the spring and summer, and at upcoming art exhibits and events!
